Hal Kooistra
Co-Founder
Hal is the co-founder of Hope Serves. He has been involved in leading and serving in compassion events and efforts throughout Chicago, the USA, and in countries around the world, most notably, Haiti, Uganda, Liberia and Cambodia.

Jose Gamino
Hope Serves Director
Serving is a core tenant of how Jose practices his faith and it has led to longtime service in his community and local church. Different roles have included; volunteering at a local homeless shelter, serving in the church nursery, on the hospitality team, the church board, and on several local, national and regional mission trips. It is his goal to serve as His hands and feet and let the world see the goodness of God.

Dawn Kooistra

Dawn is the co-founder of Hope Serves. She has served as the Event Director for the Day of Hope in partnership with Convoy of Hope from 2015-2020, as well as the Director of Outreach and Missions for Hope Church since 2010. Dawn currently serves as Director of Hope Community Dinners, part of our Hope Serves NP.

Natalie Sabos
Hope Events Director
Natalie has been trained and involved in disaster relief work since 2016 and has deployed to help with relief efforts after natural disasters, most recently Hurricane Helene. She also directed the Covid Rapid Response Team at Hope Church which distributed over 900,000lbs of food and relief supplies into the Chicagoland area.

Doug Kading
Board Member & Secretary
Doug currently on the Hope Serves board as Secretary. He has been involved with Convoy of Hope Chicago since its inception, serving in various leadership positions including Director of Logistics for community event among others. Doug was able to assist Convoy of Hope International in Spain with a local community event outreach and also maintain status as volunteer leader for Convoy of Hope Disaster Services Team.

Tony Sabos
Board Member
Tony is the CEO of ProManage LLC, an invesment advisory firm which manages over $6 billion in retirement assets. He sits on two Corporate Boards and is a member of Hope Serves Board. His passion is helping corporations and volunteer organizations partner to serve those communities in need.
Since 2015 he served as the Finance Director for the predecessor organization to Hope Serves, Convoy of Hope, Chicago, a local humanitarian relief organization with the mission of eradicating poverty and human suffering.
